Jarek Cemerek studied classical dance at the Conservatory in Ostrava (CZ), choreography and pedagogy at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague and in Helsinki. He has performed around the world, and as a choreographer and teacher he has work with numerous companies and schools; DV8, Juillard School, Peridance New York, Sadler’s Wells London, Göteborg Opera Dance company etc.

This class aims to encourage a sense of body awareness and efficiency as well as physical articulation. It will start with simple exercises to build strength and to form a good foundation in order to get the body ready for the day. Special emphasis will be made on healthy body mechanics, efficient use of weight, falls to the floor, jumps etc.
